Technology, entrepreneurship and the drive to build something of my own
My name is João Vasconcelos, and I hold a degree in Computer Engineering from PUC Campinas.
During that period, I worked with programming, software testing, project organization and problem solving. That experience shaped a belief that still guides CometAI: technology only creates value when it turns knowledge into something useful for people and businesses.
In 2014, I began building businesses online. One of my first projects reached more than 500,000 monthly visitors entirely through organic traffic.
More than the number itself, that experience left a lesson that remains part of CometAI: consistent results emerge when technology, strategy and execution work together.
An experience that changed my life 🇦🇺
I spent nearly nine years in Australia, where I improved my English, experienced different cultures and developed a broader perspective on business, technology, customer service and people.
During that time, I completed a Diploma in Business, a Diploma in Marketing and an Advanced Diploma in Cyber Security.
My cyber security studies covered common vulnerabilities, cyber attacks, penetration testing, social engineering and system protection — a foundation that still influences how we think about security, control and reliability at CometAI.
I returned to Brazil to be close to my mother during her cancer treatment. That decision closed an important chapter and opened another, guided by a clearer purpose: to build something useful, grounded in people’s reality and capable of improving everyday work.
It all began with Eletricista Campinas ⚡
After returning to Brazil, I started a project with my friend Walter, who has experience in construction and a network of skilled professionals.
The idea was simple: build a website capable of connecting people who needed electrical services with qualified professionals in the region.
I developed the website, built its presence on Google and gradually began receiving requests for installations, repairs, quotes and technical visits.
When I began serving those customers myself, I stopped seeing isolated messages and started seeing an entire process: recurring questions, scattered information, lost time and opportunities that could be organized more effectively.
